Are you a sapphic who’s looking for some new ways to get off when being solo? Well, you’re in luck because I’m Sofie Roos, a licensed sexologist, relationship therapist and author at the Swedish relationship and sex positive magazine Passionerad and in this article, I will give you some of my best masturbating advice that makes solo sex more pleasurable, dynamic and interesting!
Put on a panties vibrator and go out
Who says that masturbation always needs to happen at home? Put in a remotely controlled vibrator, such as a couples vibrator, in your panties. Once you’re ready go out for a walk, a drink, have lunch, or enjoy the great weather at a park bench or the beach, all while you control the vibrations on yourself, while trying not to reveal yourself to others.
Pro tip: Pick an insertable vibrator that stimulates both the G-spot and the clitoris!
And speaking of your G-spot, be sure to get it involved
The G-spot is an amazing erogenous zone that gives tons of pleasure if stimulated. However, it can be quite tricky to reach it yourself, which makes many not include it in their masturbation.
By investing in a G-spot dildo, you can easily stimulate it on yourself without needing to get into any tricky or uncomfortable positions. I would recommend going for a model in stainless steel – they give a nice feeling, hold forever and look great!

Use your shower head
Turn up the pressure a little bit and point one of the beams at your clitoris. Hold the shower head close to your clit, play around with different temperatures and pressures, and see if there’s any massage jet you can turn on, which’s a thicker beam. I promise that this will turn your showers into clitoral orgasm sessions!
Involve your anus
The area around and in the anus is full of sensitive nerves, that if being simulated with a finger and some lube, a butt plug, an anal vibrator or a small dildo, makes the pleasure more intense.
Stimulate your clit and inside at the same time
By using a vibrator on your clitoris and your fingers or a dildo inside of you at the same time, you can take yourself to another galaxy of pleasure. I recommend using an air pulse vibrator since they are intense and easy to use, as well as a dildo with a long shaft so it’s more convenient to reach.
Get in front of a mirror
Sit in front of any big mirror you have at home. Masturbating to your own view is not only good for making you more comfortable in your own body – it’s also surprisingly hot. It also makes it easier to navigate your own body.
Masturbate in new places
Get intimate with yourself in the forest, in a locker room, on your balcony, at your kitchen table, on the sofa, on a public toilet – or even your car while it’s parked somewhere private.
Don’t forget to bring a small vibrator, some lube and some wet wipes in your purse if going for a place that’s outside your home. By always carrying that with you, you’re also free to go for some spontaneous solo sex whenever you get in the mood!
Play with temperatures
Put an ice cube on your clitoris and let it melt or heat up some lube and finger yourself with it. By using hot and cold while masturbating, you will make it feel a lot different, and many times more enjoyable. Just make sure that you’re not damaging yourself from using something that’s too cold, or too hot!
Invest in a dildo with a suction cup
Many people forget about dildos with suction cups! The cup makes you able to ride the dildo in cowgirl, such as on the floor by standing on your feet, or by putting it on a chair and sitting on it. You can also bounce against it in doggy style if you place the dildo on a doorframe.
Edge yourself
To build up the climax and stop just before orgasming, take a short break and then repeat is called edging. It’s an amazing way of getting to know your own orgasm, as well as to build up much stronger climaxes.

Try different positions
Many sapphics tend to get stuck in missionary while masturbating. By changing between different sex positions, such as doggystyle, lying on the side, cowgirl or lying on the stomach, you can reach new feel-good angles on yourself!
